Summary: "Great Power supply little hot though"

What can i say this power supply is solid. I bought this to mainly run my Koolatron 12v cooler for camping. Has no problem running the cooler. Although I had the power supply in my vehicle with shades drawn and it did get to warm and stopped working. Later solved the problem by setting under the vehicle, just incase it rained. The power supply does get rather hot, the heat sink on the back gets to hot to touch so be careful. I plan on adding a fan to mine hopefully that will help keep it cooler. When connected to my cooler it uses about 140 watts. I don't think I have come close to pushing 2 amps from it yet but read to many reviews of the 5 amp power supplys burning out. This one has protection to keep it from getting to hot. Great unit so far, ran mine for 4 days straight no problems as long as there is airflow.

Summary: "Dependable, Clean DC Power"

The problem with most DC power supplies is they tend to generate "Hum" into your audio equipment, unless they are well-designed.
This unit is well-filtered and the output is a clean 13.8 VDC.
The lighter port and the DC terminals are very convenient for fast hook-up to just about and 12VDC item you want to run.
I purchased 3 units and am very satisfied with the quality of workmanship.

I purchased this to power my Yaesu FT-7800 and as a backup to charge other 12v items. Works great! It's a little bit big, but it's quiet and has never overheated.

My mother is elderly and has car and trailer tires that are quite in need of inflation. I bought a small, inexpensive compressor but found out that I could not power it from the car's battery, which was too run down. This general purpose power supply provides enough amps to do the job (that is, run the compressor). Nicely built, too. I am very pleased with it.

I must say the quality of this product is great. I have seen other similar power supplies with less apms costing more. I would recommend this product. I use it to charge Lipo batteries for my rc planes.
